Open Swim Saturdays At Northview High School Pool

Open Swim is at the Northview High School pool on Saturday afternoons (noon – 2 p.m.) through June 8, 2013. The cost is $2 for adults and $1.50 for students. Children four years and under are free.

A certified lifeguard is on duty. Locker rooms are available.

The pool entrance is located at the south end of the NHS building (just off the Service Road) tucked in a corner towards the back of the building. The boys’ locker room is immediately accessible. Persons headed for the girls’ locker room must pass through the pool balcony area to gain access.

Northview Little League is accepting registrations for the 2013 season on the league website http://northviewlittleleague.net/

Players, coaches, volunteers and umpires should register through the website. Coaches, volunteers and adult umpires are subject to a criminal background check.

The registration fees for 2013 remain at 2012 rates. A late fee will be charged for player registrations received on or after March 1, 2013. Registrations close when divisions reach capacity or March 13, 2013, whichever comes first. New this season, online payments can now be accepted through the website for registration fees. The system is set up to accept Visa and Mastercard payments.

Northview Little League provides baseball and softball programs for boys and girls 5-14.

Time To Get Your Dog's New License

 

2013 Dog Licenses available in Kent County.

Michigan law requires that all dogs four months of age or older be licensed.

A dog license is considered late if your animal is 5 months of age or older and you have owned the dog longer than 30 days. Dog licenses are discounted for senior citizens, and if your dog has been spayed or neutered (See fees here). To qualify for senior prices a person has to be 62 years old at the time of purchase and provide proof of age.

The fees through March 1, 2013 range from $6-26. After March 1, the costs of licenses doubles.
