PLAINFIELD TWP., Mich. (WZZM) Kent County authorities have arrested 3 people for using cloned credit cards at area stores.

Investigators say on April 11th three suspects used the credit cards at the Plainfield Avenue Meijer store.  Loss prevention quickly realized what happened and called authorities with a vehicle description. Kent County Sheriff's Deputy Deanna Lude located the car at Big Lots parking lot on Plainfield Avenue and caught the three suspects.

The suspects are identified as Chee Heng Lam, 24 year old from Elmhurst, New York , Wen Zhang, 33 year old from East Windsor, New Jersey, and Teng Chen, 19 year old from Elmhurst, New York.

Deputies searched the vehicle and located hundreds of cloned credit cards and gift cards as well as two lap top computers, a credit card skimmer, and large garbage bags full of Similac Baby Formula.

Authorities say the suspects would typically visit Meijer and Wal-Mart stores and buy gift cards with the cloned credit cards.

Three other people were arrested in a similar incident in January of this year.
