Plainfield Township Farmer's Market reopens in June

Plainfield Township's Farmer's Market is located in front of the Frontline Church - 4411 Plainfield Avenue NE (corner of 5 Mile Road and Plainfield Avenue), adjacent to Fire Station #3. Space is available to sell homemade crafts, fruits and vegetables, and flowers and plants.

The Plainfield Township Historical Preservation and Advisory Committee meets regularly to oversee the operation and maintenance of the Hyser House Historical Museum, and is tasked with protecting and preserving Township history. The Committee meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, January through March at Township Hall (6161 Belmont Avenue, NE) at 3:45 p.m. and May to November at the Hyser House Museum (6440 West River Drive, NE) at 6:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to share anything regarding Township history with the Committee.

Plainfield Township to consider zoning change for medical office

On March 22nd at 7pm, the Plainfield Charter Township Planning Commission will meet at the township hall to consider a zoning change request by Advantage Health.

The application calls for a 27 acre plot on 7 Mile Road to be rezoned from Residential to Planned Unit Development.  Advantage Health's proposal calls for a medical office and senior extended care facilities at that site.

You can submit written comments to the Planning Commission before the March 22nd hearing.
