My Town Plainfield: 10 Mile Park gets new name
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich.— Plainfield Township's newest park has a new name and logo.
Earlier this month, the township board voted 4-3 to name the park on 10 Mile Road between U.S. 131 and the City of Rockford "Plainfield Township Premier Park." The name came from a public naming contest that generated more than 90 entries.
More than 50 logo ideas were also submitted. The board unanimously approved adopting a Plainfield Township Premier Park logo design that includes the township logo. The township may also consider adopting the logo design for other parks within the township.
The person or people who submitted the winning name and winning logo will each be awarded a $250 prize.
